The Bible says that God numbers the hairs on our heads. I guess that means He keeps tabs on the ones we lose as well. Â At present God has some massive subtractions to do as I have started to shed hair like a cat.
One of the minor side-effects of the new chemo drug I am on is hair-loss. It didn’t happen last time I had chemo, but is affecting me this round. For the past few days I have been shedding on my pillow case, in the shower, and when I brush my hair with my hands, they are covered with hair. Whether I go completely bald, or my hair just thins should become apparent in the next week or two. I have another dose of chemo this Wednesday. That will probably accelerate the hair loss. I hope it does damage to the metastases as well.

Dear Prophet Doug (as you are always fondly called at our church in S’pore),
my work involves breast cancer patients, so can understand what you’re going thro. At church, Sis Bronwen and yourself are regularly remembered in our prayers – believing in our Heavenly Father to see you thro victoriously. A church sister who has recurrence lately is now going thro chemo again, but she’s holding up well because of reading your blog. Throughout all these, satan is defeated already, Hallelujah!
Be assured of our continued prayer support for both of you.
